Eufodite Gabbro

"Eufodite" gabbros (old term for coarse-grained gabbros) are very coarse-grained gabbroic rocks. they contain plagioclase (labradorite) commonly altered in saussurite and a diallage pyroxene, commonly altered in chlorite or zoisite. The Type locality for this type of gabbro is the south Tuscany and Liguria regionns in Italy.
