Jacupirangite

A jacupirangite is an ultramafic plutonic rock that is part of the ijolite series. composed chiefly of titanaugite with minor nepheline and accessory biotite and magnetite, apatite, perovskite and melanite garnet. Jacupirangites are usually cumulate rocks formed by accumulation of pyroxene. They are essentially pyroxenites. Its name, given by Derby in 1891, is derived from Jacupiranga, Brazil.
